She has zealously litigated on behalf of her commercial clients throughout her career (including notably, in the high-profile savings and loans scandal of the 1980’s) and is currently licensed and admitted to practice law in Texas and New York. Diane is a graduate of the University of Utah, Salt Lake City (magna cum laude), and Southern Methodist University Dedham School of Law where she competed as a member of SMU’s moot court team. She is currently a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association. She now serves on the Special Committee to Encourage Judicial Service and participates in the New York City Bar’s Monday Night Legal Advocacy Workshop providing legal counsel to low-income New Yorkers. Diane is also proficient at blue grass mandolin.
Willa N. France The McFadin Law Group is pleased to announce the affiliation of Willa N. France as Of Counsel to the firm. Ms. France has extensive experience in New York arbitration and litigation with a focus on engineering and technical matters. Ms. France is a graduate of the Webb Institute of Naval Architecture with a B.Sc. degree in naval architecture and marine engineering. After several years' employment with Esso International's tanker department research and development group, she attended New York University Law School where she graduated in 1977 and immediately joined the maritime firm of Healy & Baillie as an associate. She remained with Healy & Baillie as an associate and then as a partner for almost thirty years before the firm was dissolved in September 2006. She is admitted to practice in the State of New York and in several federal and appellate courts. Ms. France is also a licensed New York state professional engineer and a member of the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Prior to joining The McFadin Law Group in 2006, Ms. Bell spent three years in the private sector performing corporate, real estate and transactional work for Brooklyn-based ANM Funding and Development. After advancing to Jr. Vice President for Business Development/Corporate Counsel, Ms. Bell decided to pursue litigation and hung out her shingle as a solo practitioner. An accomplished professional dancer, Ms. Bell’s decision to pursue litigation was fueled in part by her commitment to the legal needs of the artistic community. Ms. Bell’s decision to join McFadin Law Group was the product of a decade long friendship with its founder, Diane McFadin, who not quite incidentally has a healthy respect and admiration for artistic accomplishments. Ms. Bell received a Bachelor of Arts in Government and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Mills College in Oakland, California, and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from San Francisco’s Golden Gate University Law School. Ms. Bell competed as a member of GGU’s moot court team and is a member of the National Lawyer’s Guild. Ms. Bell is currently a principal dancer for NYC’s Vissi Dance Theater. Adam Nicolazzo Adam Nicolazzo, the newest addition to the McFadin Law Group, has worked with the firm in varying capacities for over two years. Adam received his bachelor of science degree from Northeastern University in 2003 and his juris doctorate from New York Law School in 2007. Adam is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and is a member of the American Bar Association and New York State Bar Association. |
